Re: Shoestring
VERY disappointed, and left wing is a loose fit to the fuselage too. The shoestring was a piece of junk. The cowl just did not fit. The wings were held on by spring clips, totaly in violation of the NMPRA rule book at the time. Solution? Change the rules to appease the manufacturer. I threw the spr...

Re: Shoestring Aluminum Spar Folding
Get rid of the spring clips. Install blind nuts to the wing root ribs. The screws will pull the wing tight to the fuselage.
Go to RC Groups Page 51, report 762. I posted pictures of the screw installation.
I tried attaching the pictures here but apparantly the file is too large.

Re: Shoestring Aluminum Spar Folding
Does the stock Shoestring still have those idiotic spring clips(originally illegal) to hold the wing to the fuselage resulting in a loose wing?. I threw those away and added two blind nuts to each root rib. This set up screwed the wings tight against the fuselage sides thus preventing the tube from ...

Re: EF-1 Plans?
Sad but true. When I first posted this request here I got a couple of answers. One even offered to send me an auto cad set of plans. I was so excited. But it seems now they were just joking as I have seen nothing since. Must be to busy to follow up with the offer. I sincerely hope you are not refer...

Re: EF-1 Plans?
When Dan was producing the Miss Dara I drew the plans for the kit. The plans are drawn on Autocad. The electronic drawing shows a complete assembly drawing with instructions and all of the laser cut parts.
I could email them to you.

Re: Miss Dara - EF1
Hi Dan,
I wanted to make sure that a home built kit that is no longer available, would still be legal. I definitely will not be purchasing any more ARFs.
Thanks,
Ed S.

Re: Miss Dara - EF1
I drew the plans for the original kit before it was sold to Nitroplanes. If I build a model from these plans I assume it will be legal for NMPRA EF-1. Correct?

Re: Recommended EF1 Set up?
Any issue with the Cowl? Can't get this one to fit no matter what. Thanks again, Regarding the Shoestring. I was foolish enough to purchase one as soon as they became available. The cowl fit was awful. It did not fit. The front former it fits over had to be sanded lower to allow the cowl slide on a...
