Re: RIP Jack Fehling 10/14/2020
Matt, Jack was a class person and I always enjoyed our conversations. You and your family are in my prayers as I know that without Jack there is a big hole in your lives.

Difference between the 7.0.4 and 8.20 Judgement software
I am getting ready to download and just wondered if there was any difference. It would seem that the 8.20 software is the most current.

Re: Advanced Pylon Products "Sidewinder"
I then fit the belly pan to the wing and fuselage. The Belly pan needed some work as it did not fit well. https://marauderer.smugmug.com/Airplanes/Sidewinder/i-g8WzHfZ/0/XL/20151020105852-XL.jpg I moved the pan all the way forward and saw that the gap was about 3/16-1/4" so I taped the out side of t...

Re: Advanced Pylon Products "Sidewinder"
When I talked to Advanced Pylon Products Gary Sr. said to mount the servos as far back as possible to the front of the rear wing cross brace. I made my own servo tray and used rubberized CA to glue the rails and the tray to the rails. Make sure you get the tray high enough in the fuselage so that th...

Re: Advanced Pylon Products "Sidewinder"
The graphics package came from Dennis Kirby and I installed it on the horizontal stabs and elevators before installing the stabs on the fuselage. https://marauderer.smugmug.com/Airplanes/Sidewinder/i-x4hMJ9L/0/XL/20150921184613-XL.jpg As I was fitting the stabs and elevator linkage I noticed I could...

Re: Advanced Pylon Products "Sidewinder"
I used a Jett 6 oz flat tank and it fit very well and high in the fuselage. I used a tongue depressor to keep the tank from sliding forward and reinforced packing take to hold it to the tank and to also stiffen the tank walls also. I personally like the fuel dot system and the fuel accessories from ...

Re: Advanced Pylon Products "Sidewinder"
So after I unpacked it and had a chance to check it all out it was a real good looking airplane and it felt light. I won the base kit and I had Gary Sr. upgrade it by installing the firewall, motor mount, and drilled the wing on a jig. To me it was worth the additional expense as Gary did a great jo...

Advanced Pylon Products "Sidewinder"
I finally went to the AMA nationals this year and that was an experience that everyone needs to do. I flew 426 and 422 and at the end Tom Scott had a raffle for some items to raise money for the FAI Team. I won the Sidewinder in the raffle. I didn't even know what it was but since I have never had a...

Re: Judgement Wireless Light System
Thanks for your input Randy. I was just going to paint the outsides of the boxes white. I was going to leave the inside black for the contrast with the lights. I will have to evaluate the front perimeter of the boxes to see if it affects seeing the lights. The actual turn lights at #1 will be covere...

Judgement Wireless Light System
I have in my possession a JLS and all the components for the displays are in wooden boxes painted flat black. http://marauderer.smugmug.com/Airplanes/Hodges-Light-System/i-j8KLXvb/0/M/20140705191501-M.jpg I am concerned about the heat in the South and plan on repainting the boxes gloss white. I also...
