Re: Jett Tanker
If you have one of the older plungers with all of the grooves marked on it, they each represent a volume. Can't remember the graduations, but Dub should be able to tell you.

Re: TEXAS Racing September
Hello all, I met with the club last night, and everything is coming together nicely for a great race. Transportation will be provided to and from the flight line for each heat. Poles will be up Friday for practice. Please plan to attend. This will be the first race in Texas in a long while. I'm hopi...

Re: Experience with new Spektrum servos on Q-40s
Hi Julio, I do not have any experience with the 5080, however, I have been using the 5070s. I run them on elevator and aileron on my MFL and Strega. They are fantastic. I run a standard Life 6.6v battery. Gobs of torque and very fast. They are a little bigger and slightly heavier, but my MFL came ou...

Re: TEXAS Racing September
If you're thinking about coming to race with us, please post up, so I can give the club an idea of headcount for planning.

Re: TEXAS Racing September
Morning gents, I am planning to run all events. On Saturday we'll run 424 and 426. On Sunday we'll do EF-1 (428) and Q-40 (422). Based on entries, we'll likely run 3 plane heats with racehorse start. I have a flyer posted on the homepage. Field is located at 4094 FM 523, Freeport, TX 77541. 50'X50' ...

TEXAS Racing September
Hi everyone, Just wanted to drop a quick line to remind everyone that we will be racing at the Brazoria County Modelers Association in Oyster Creek, TX the weekend of September 10. Please mark your calendars, and plan for some fast racing times. We are located less than a mile from the beach, right ...

Re: FAI Rules
Going to play a little devil's advocate here. Without those entries, there likely wouldn't be a WC this year. This is something the control line guys have been doing for many years.

Re: FAI format used at the CAPS Indy shoot out
My thoughts: We accomplished what we set out to do by testing the course for the upcoming WC. To echo DK, you can really see that Tom M etal. has put in a lot of work to make the system run smoothly. We don't thank those guys enough, and obviously couldn't do what we do without them. I prefer head t...

2022 Texas Pylon Racing
For planning purposes, I've got some good news to announce out of Texas. We have 2 clubs that have each voted to host races in the Houston area. The first will be Brazoria County Modelers. I'm shooting for September 10 and 11. Based on entries, we will try to do 2 events each day. For sure 426 on Sa...

2022 World Champs Dates?
Could Mike or Trey possibly chime in on the Champs schedule? When does practice start? We're trying to get our schedules ironed out for leave from work and accommodations for living in Muncie. Also, out of curiosity, how did we end up finishing on Thursday? That's going to make it very difficult for...

Re: Longer course at the classic.
I guess my point was it felt different. And yes, talking from both sides trying to tread lightly.
I like most others do try to gain info from the lights to either hone in on timing, but primarily to ensure I don't royaly screw up and call 2 cuts.

Re: Longer course at the classic.
I've read through most all of this, and would like to put my thought down as well. I agree with Ray. I found it difficult to call normally at PHX. I was forever looking for lights that sometimes came on when my pilot was already back to 2. I never got in a comfortable routine. As a caller, you don't...

Very nice report, Lee. Thanks.
Thank you Freemans. Lots of volunteer work for little return. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend to pylon race.

Re: Cliff Telford Memorial Tangerine 2021 "PLEASE READ ASAP"
My opinion, fwiw, the entry fees for all of these contests should be higher. It's the only way the club makes money, and the only way we have races is with clubs that support us. $45 won't buy you a tank of gas to drive back and forth to the field. Entry fees should be set up similar to how AMA does...
