Best of luck to you, Chuck and the competitors. I admire your generousity, dedication and expertise in this interesting segment of modeling - it's extraordinarily technical, no doubt!
Safe travels, and I'll be certain to look in on the link you provided.

Re: MFL (CMAD) Build instructions
Dan asked me to comment on battery placement and fuel line routing. Well, battery location (and servo tray location) can very much help with C.G. to minimize any additional nose or tail ballast to achieve the desired C.G. I’ll let Dan talk about the recommended C.G. location, but I strive for about ...

Re: MFL (CMAD) Build instructions
Continuing with tank installation, cut some foam wedges to keep the front of the tank centered. Again, I use Zap Goo to glue in these wedges. One more piece of foam is used to hold the tank up when the wing is mounted.

Re: MFL (CMAD) Build instructions
Dan Kane invited me to chime in here on his Miss Foxy Lady build thread to illustrate a fuel tank “wedge and cradle” mounting system that some of us use. I’m not certain, but I believe this was originally conceived by Richard Beers and then adopted by Dub. Dub showed it to me. Because I have a CO2 l...

Re: Baldwin Michigan Race (2024) July 27 & 28
Hi Dan. Thanks for getting this started. Count me in. It would be a crime for me to miss this one - I'm less than an hour away from Baldwin. It may be a bit of a tough date as it's only a week separated from the Nat's, but I'm sure it's already been looked at every which way. I added a pic of the lo...

Re: NMPRA membership status
Tim, I added the latest membership status to the PayPal application thread above. Doug Hi Doug - thanks! I just signed up. I guess I had gone all last year without being a member. If I want to confirm my membership anytime in the future, shall I reach out to you, or is there a link to a data base o...

NMPRA membership status
Can someone tell me where to find my NMPRA membership status? I'd like to know my status including the term. Per Doug Killebrew's suggestion, I'd like to make sure my membership is up-to-date and re join if I'm not already, but I don't know where. I poked around on the NMPRA web site, but couldn't f...

Re: Extracting broken crankshaft stud from Jett 426 engine
Wish I would have known, I had a tap out with me along with all my drill bits. And my dremel A tap. Nothin' doin'. Couldn't even drill a hole. The point is, forget about drilling. Just cut a slot with a Dremel and you're on your way. I always have my Dremel and attachments, including a cutoff wheel...

Extracting broken crankshaft stud from Jett 426 engine
I get to the Nat's and first thing I do is put together one of my quickies just to get an early evening engine run. I go to tighten the prop and snap! Within about 30 minutes of my arrival at the 2023 AMA pylon racing Nat's I've busted the threaded stud in the crankshaft of my #1 plane. Next thing I...

SOLD This thing's been sitting in my basement and I'm just not going to fly it. 90% completed. Canopy needs to be glued to the canopy frame (I have it just taped into position). Needs radio. A used, but perfectly good GP EF1 motor included. I relocated and shimmed the motor so the spinner would ali...
