Re: Standard and Expert Classes

Wouldn't a simple percentage marker be a quick way of separating the classes? This one multiplier could be applied to any race type, length, 2 pole, 3 pole... Say - 120%. Any racer with a fast time within 120% of the fast time for the event is considered an Expert. (Fast time 1.08 - 68 seconds X 120...

Here's the season points summary from Mesa and a link to the mesa EF1 site. Points.jpg http://azmodelaviators.com/club-events/ef-1-racing/ I am not sure what I am looking at for these results. Sorry. I need to know, the number of entries and the place that each pilot who participated finished. (It ...

Re: High Voltage Batteries not allowed??

Just pick from the EF-1 approved equipment list posted on the NMPRA's webpage. Joe has done a good job last year in not allowing HV batteries at the contest. This promoted new pilots giving EF-1 a try. EF-1 is a great starting point for many in pylon I just wish people would work on their flying sk...

Re: High Voltage Batteries not allowed??

Hi, You are probably referring to my race in Oakdale. You are correct there is nothing in the NMPRA rules against and that is why I am publishing a rules deviation in the flyer. My reasoning for doing this was to keep what was our biggest growing class from turning into a battery race. Totally a su...

High Voltage Batteries not allowed??

While looking through the events to see if there was a west coast race I might be able to enter I noticed a flier that specifically called-out NO high voltage batteries allowed. I have a few HV batts I use for my heavy planes (they save an ounce or two). I didn't see anything in the NMPRA rules agai...

Re: Motor Question

Randy is 100% correct. You CANNOT replace any bearings (THIS MEANS OEM OR NON OEM). You CANNOT replace the motor shaft (THIS MEANS WITH MATERIAL YOU PURCHASED AT MCMASTER CARR OR OEM). You CANNOT take your motor apart to turn the shaft around. Why? Because that is the rule. It doesn't matter that n...
