USA was last up for “official practice” today. Rain rolled in, so we have to wait until tomorrow for our 30 minutes of official practice. Then we head straight into the first round of the competition. The team looks really strong, practice has gone well.

Update: Team USA is all here. We did some test flying (trim flying) and everyone seems good to go. Fairly uneventful day of flying. Gino ended the day nicely with a really nice run. I ran fuel filters for nearly 15 years, never had an issue with them. Just clean them out before the race weekend and go. I don’t use them anymore, not for any particular reason. I do filter my fuel as I pull it into my syringe.. then back flush my filter, to purge any particles that I may have pick...

I believe Tom's main question/interest.. Is why the need for 5 #6 screws to hold the fiberglass cross beam adapter in place.? I assume you tie the fiberglass beam to the side of the fuse with carbon filled epoxy? And with the mount already having a aluminum cross beam...why not just bond the aluminu...
