Need a cheap practice ship?...The Hobby King EFX Racer

So, I am not really a fan of injected molded foam anything........But we have a problem down here in San Diego. There is no real suitable flying sites that will allow a nitro powered pylon plane. The only real option is a two hour drive to Riverside or Whittier. A gentleman that I fly electric park ...

Re: Motor Question

Every time I try to figure out Amps, Watts, C ratings, Props, ESCs, Shafts, Collets and Electric Motors it looks like this: If I have 10 ice cubes and you have 11 apples, how many pancakes will fit on the roof?

Answer: Purple because aliens don’t wear hats.

Re: Motor Question

It was a joke Dan. I was just trying to lighten things up a little. But, I have set up at least ten 3d aerobatic airplanes for my self and other people, and to get a proper spinner gap and to get the collet to seat all the way down, in almost every case that I was not using the recommended motor and...

Re: Motor Question

What I meant by sniff test: Over the years, I have received bum data on the phone or email from techs at both HH and GP. I usually have to go over there pay grade or to a sponsored pilot to get the real deal and my suspicions are usually correct. I did not intend to insinuate a conspiracy theory :D ...

Re: Motor Question

Well, I think the NMPRA should drill down a little further, because the 35mm, 42mm and 50mm motor tech data on GP's web site gives part numbers for the alternate collet assembly and shows both mounting methods. (?) I get the safety piece. However, If their own tech data provides, who was the Product...

Re: Motor Question

I was going to put a Rim-Fire motor in a Shoestring, wanted to use the E-Flight spinner. To do this, you must turn it around to get it to match the cowling and fit with out a complete motor box re-design. Glad I saw this post. As long as there are no form, fit or function changes, why would the NMPR...
