Gary James and I compared the weight of his Jett with 2" spinner with my Nelson with Nelson Spinner. Gary's Jett was 1 ounce lighter.

Jett now has a lighter muffler that is available. If you have the new muffler this combo is about 1.75 ounces lighter.

The Jett and Nelson engines fit interchangeably in the mounts.

The Jett engine is lighter than the other. Therefore balancing will have to be done after making a change. The difference is from 1 to 2 ounces, depending on muffler and spinner options.

Below are the key items I do when breaking in an engine: 1. Put on a light propeller such as a 7.4 x 7.5 carbon fiber APC. 2. Fill the bladder tank with fuel insuring there is no air. 3. Open the needle valve around 4 turns. 4. Start the engine and lean the needle valve to run about 17,000 rpms. Shu...
