I always thought that the OR-70-1(Fang) and OR-71-1&2 (Lil' Quickie/Aloha/Wise Owl) would be ideal candidates for an EF-1 because of the annular air inlet that George Owl incorporated into the design. Before he passed, Jerry and I were replacing the fiberglass tube with a carbon fiber tube. That completely solved the strength problem. I can provide more details if needed.
