Would it be legal to have a replacement piston made for a Q40 engine, even if it looked the same?? It doesn't matter if it's detectable or not! If it's not stock, it's illegal! So Gary buy what you said is, If you losse the fit on your Q/40 engine you can not replace it, The engine is dead now, RIG...

So Dan If I bend the shaft of this motor in a crash. I can not repair it right. Kevin, As it stands today, NO you cannot repair the shaft on this motor. 1. You cannot take your motor apart. 2. You cannot replace stock items. DK Just asking how would you know if it has the OEM or a replacement shaft?

"SNIFF TEST"
The NMPRA has said DO NOT DISASSEMBLE YOUR MOTOR AND TURN THE SHAFT AROUND!
It can be done with out taking the motor apart. Just place the new 5mm shaft in and puss 1 out with the other 1. Did not take it apart!!!!!!

88625K64 2 Each Multipurpose O1 Tool Steel, Tight-tolerance Rod, 5mm Diameter, 3' Long

Just make it 13mms longer then stock.And use the collect.
