Re: 2020 NMPRA Q-40 Championship Race - Bid request
Don't forget the North. Anyone in Canada-aye want to make a bid? Would love to see the possibility Hi Chago, I have always thought it would be great to host a NMPRA Champ race here in Calgary but we just do not have a field that is suitable. It's OK for a district race but the NMPRA champ race and ...

Re: ModelTracker trundles along
Looks good Hank and Tom. I notice that the light comes on when you break the plane of pylon #1 and stays on for the time you are past the pylon. This gives the caller a good indication of how far past the pylon the plane flew. Is lap counting now functional too? Laps and P1 could reduce six to eight...

Trey,
Can you post a list of recommended hotels for the race? The website listed in the race flyer is not up to date.
Thanks,
Randy

Re: Can this be fixed?
Kevin
It can be fixed.
1) Secure the glow driver VERY GENTLY in a 8" bench vise.
2) Hit it VERY HARD with a 10 lb sledge hammer.
It will be fixed.

Re: Latest and greatest timing and deck height?
If anyone is looking for a good quality degree wheel, Hank Kauffmann had some made out of FR4 circuit board material (fiberglass sheet) and had the 360 degree scale etched on to the board same as is done with printed circuits. He was selling them in Phoenix for about $10 or $15 I think. Center hole ...

Re: Your latest creation
Tim / Dan I have been flying most all of my Sweet-V's including the one I bought from Dan at 2-3/8" with no problems. I like the response. The original that I bought from Darrol way back, was at 2-1/16" and I could hardly turn it with my normal throws. Dan, your red Sweet-V is now in the hands of Ke...

Non-OEM Bearings
Dan, A few years ago I replaced the bearings in an EFlight motor with non-OEM. I just went to my local bearing supply shop in Calgary with the measurements. They were nothing fancy. Basic steel bearing with metal shields. I think the pair was about $10.00 It probably cost me more to drive there. I r...

Re: Judgement Wireless Light System
Hi Barry, I live in "Kauffmann-land". I can confirm that is a good idea from a heat perspective. The systems in Muncie and Phoenix have had some trouble with heat. White is a good idea, although you may want to confirm that you still have acceptable visibility of the LED's using the white background...
