Most epic needle flush ever?
When I raced my BC Ashley at the 2020 Mike Tallman Legacy race it was going good. I had planned to race it at the Nat's this year, but couldn't get good engine runs. I tried all kinds of things including a new fuel tank, some troubleshooting the needle system with the help of Jim Allen, changed the ...

Re: Potting the Wing Saddle with Silicone
Hello Scott.
To follow up on your note about some brands of silicone, I don't know if I've settled on a particular brand yet, but I've had the best success with clear silicone instead of white or black. Seems to adhere better.

Re: 2022 NATIONALS SUGGESTION PAGE
Thanks Mike and all for the opportunity to give input. Regarding the length of the day and in the interest of saving time, one thing that quickly came to my mind was lunchtime practice sessions. I am almost always one to take advantage of the opportunity, but contrarily, lunchtime seems to stretch o...

Quick question (about weather conditions during the Nat's)
I'm not asking for advice or numbers, I'm just wondering if anybody else noticed a change in the weather conditions on Friday at the Nat's. Seems the weather prior to Friday was pretty good (regarding engine performance), but on Friday, specifically between the preliminaries and the finals (or a few...

Re: 2021 NATS PRACTICE TIME PROCEDURE….
I’m grateful for an organized, fair practice procedure and thankful to those who have worked on this. I understand it will be a work-in-progress and we may have to adapt as we go. I’m looking forward to safe practice sessions without people on golf carts beating me to the line. I have been thinking ...

Re: CAPS Moon Shot Race in Cincinnati June5-6
I snapped a few pics from the weekend as follows. The weather was a little better than usual; typical weather is rather calm winds and warm, humid conditions. The wind was mostly calm, and although there was heat and humidity, I'd say it was in-check and pretty nice most of the time. We were even gr...

Re: Props
I have much respect for pilots of the days when you had to carve your own props, build models mostly from scratch to a high level of finish (for starting order), have the right engine guy modify your engine, etc., etc. I think getting into pylon may be easier now than ever with 15% nitro fuel, somew...
