Re: Fiberglass wheel pants for EF1 Shark
Tim, I don't check my PM's very often. I have several different wheel pants that will work on a number of different EF1's, but I don't have one that will work without modification on a wire gear, (aka Shark). You can get to me directly at: gregandjanedoe@aol.com

Re: Some of my Dad's first pylon racers
Don, The first three pictures with the Rivets appear to be at the old Asheville/Hendersonville Airport. You can see Tommy Baker calling for your dad. The bronze Toni is probably Jim Katz's?

Larger magnets. You can get a package of 10 for around $2.00 from one of the Chinese outlets.

Re: Can this be fixed?
That looks like an old Radio South "Pro-Driver" made by Emerald Coast Circuits located in Americus, GA. Since it's an older unit, it may no longer be supported. Besides making units for Radio South, they make units for Darryl Cady as well. There were two orange case units prior to the current yellow...

Re: Outrageous and Scarlet Screamer
Chago, These numbers came from the F-1 days. We built our wings to withstand 200 lb. F-1 weight rule was 5 lb.The 40 g. number might be high, but I think your 20 g. number is low. Possibly someone else has more knowledge on the subject? Suffice to say that more then a couple of different EF-1's have...

Re: Outrageous and Scarlet Screamer
Good question? I would think so. Depending on how you fly it. We pull around 40 G's in a pylon turn at number one pylon. Since you you won't be racing this in EF1, you could fly it in a "gentle" fashion. We can get about 2 minutes out of 335 gram 4s battery. If you go to a 5s stay close to that weig...

Re: EF-1 course NATS course length
Nat's flew the 375.5 ft. course as posted in the EF-1 rules. It works out to be 1 5/8 mile for 10 laps. You referenced the 2 mile course, often referred to as the "short course","Quickie 500 course", or "Quarter Midget (.15) course".
