9/10 One Day 424/EF-1 race

Post by kane »

http://www.nmpra.net/events/Flyers/2022Sundowners.pdf

All: A quick reminder that we have a nice low key event coming up in a couple of weeks. If you are in the area I hope you can attend. This is a grass field with very well maintained grass. Over the last couple of years we have been able to foster 2-3 new pylon pilots from supporting this event. This year we are expecting another 1-2 pilots. This type of local club level racing is what helps us grow.

Tim Lampe was gracious enough to supply a flight stand kit. Jim DeYoung is in the process of finishing it. We are hoping to sell this item to raise money for the club. If interested in a finished Tim Lampe flight stand, stay tuned for picts.

We had a great day of racing! Thanks to the Heavenly Father for the wonderful weather we had. Today in Chicago it has been raining all day. Thanks to all the races that came and made our third race a success. Before the race, for a while, it looked like our turnout might be pretty low but you guys came through and we had a great turnout. Thank for supporting our race. Also thanks to Tom Melsheimer for bringing his fantastic PLATE system and also racing! And of course we could not have a race without all the club members and family members that worked the race. A big thank you too all the race workers. We hope to do it again next year.

Team Prowler will there next year, sorry for the schedule conflict this year. Looks like plenty of FAST was going on!
Are you sure you were doing 10 laps?

Plate system was used. Times were validated on the tickets.

Scheduling one contest on top of another is always problematic. Hope we figure it out for next year. If we host again next year it will be the same weekend. As it has been for the past 3 years.

Great day with mixed emotions! lol the Canadian group really enjoyed the hospitality of the Midwest Sundowners field. welcoming and a super grass strip to race from. if our schedules allow us, we would venture back.
Thanks DK for being the CD, and Tom Melsheimer with his plate system, everything ran pretty smooth!
