Caudron

Post by rocket »

Has anyone ever verified the caudrons cross section is legal. Looking at it there's no bellypan, no cheek cowls only a canopy. Ultimate composites has sent out skinny planes before.
And I said, here am I send me.

Ray,
Remember that unlike F3D, there are committees that approve airplanes for Q40 and F3T.
As Terry said, Jim Allen verifies the cross section during the approval process for Q40 (as does the FAI/F3T committee). It’s considerably wider than the required 3”, which helps to meet the cross section rule without a belly scoop, etc.
