Post by DT »

2020 Denis Lyon Memorial Race Pre-Entry
Pilots, Callers, support personnel, public....

March 28th & 29th with Friday the 27th as practice day, we will hold our annual Denis Lyon Memorial Pylon Race at Whittier Narrows Park, hosted by the San Gabriel Valley RC League.

Classes offered both days:

426
422

Anticipating a full event entry forms must be complete with payment and teammates indicated! Payment will reserve your slot in the TOTAL field of 60 entries.

Please make checks payable to: San Gabriel Valley RC League

NOTE: The first entry form indicating 3 to a team will be logged and any additional entries indicating the same team members already on a 3-person team will be placed on the matrix as “orphans” so contact your teammates before sending in your forms!

We need to have ALL your information no later than Friday March the 27th, since the matrix for each class will be built that day.

NOTE: “rule deviation” In the event a pilot receives a turn light and a cut light during the same lap, the cut light will prevail and a re-fly will not be granted.

We’ve lost many trees in the pit area due to disease so make sure you bring your shade pop-up!!

No FAA Number on your Aircraft = No Flying!

Pilots,

After much deliberation, and with the complete support from the San Gabriel Valley RC League, the Organizing Committee has decided to KEEP the Denis Lyon Memorial Pylon Race as it has originally been scheduled.
The club, as usual, is very excited to host pilots from all over the country on March 28 and 29. We have a long list of Course Worker Volunteers ready to officiate our race.
So, if you're still on the fence about attending our race, make sure you make your travel arrangements ASAP, and most importantly, make sure you send your registration, complete info and payment to Dan Thordarson (his address is in the above post).

Look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks!
