We have lost a great man and pylon racer

Post by JerryB »

Jerry Elert passed away on Tuesday Feb 16 after a long battle from cancer. Jerry was the BIGGEST supporter of pylon racing in the upper mid west.
He was inducted into the NMPRA hall of fame in 2016. RIP my friend

Sorry to hear this, I enjoyed the trip I made to Minnesota to race quite a bit. Good fun racing!

RIP, Jerry - we'll miss you.
Out of all the places we could be, this is one of them.

This is a tough one for me. Jerry and I had a fun relationship. He was always willing to make bets on Chicago vs Minnesota sporting events. Whether it was Bears vs Vikings or Twins vs the Sox. Jerry always found a way to take my money. I have known him a very long time and he was definitely one of the good ones. Always doing what he could to support pylon and always giving everything he owned to help others. Sad to see him go. He is in a better place.

Thoughts and prayers to his family,

The Kane Family.
