424 Racing is complete, results are posted.

The software does not handle Standard class and Expert Class separately.

Tim Sparks, a Standard class entrant, took Third overall and opted for Expert class trophy.

Ken Hopson took first and fast time in Standard class. This moved Daniel Troup up to 5th place trophy in Expert.

James DeYoung took second in Standard, and Robert Petrinec took third.

Those with marks after their name flew as experts, either due to prior years success or flying 422 in the Nats.

EF1 is complete and posted on www.rcpylonracing.com.

Travis won after a great flyoff against Jim Allen. DK took third uncontested, and in a 3-way fly-off for 4-6 (5 trophies), two planes hit the ground or other obstacles, leaving Tim Sparks to take 4th place.

James DeYoung won Standard class, followed by Gary Fisher and Rick Vogelsang.

Brody Freeman won best Junior. Look out for this kid!

Tuesday we start 426 prelims, with 60 entries!

The matrix for the Q40 Prelims is posted online at www.rcpylonracing.com

Yes, early! Prelims start Thursday!

NOTE: we reserve the right to make changes to the matrix until Wednesday evening. For example, were several people to drop out due to practice mishaps, we will rematrix rather than carrying extra bye's. However, assuming no further changes, this will be your matrix.

Please DO NOT STICKER PLANES until after 426 awards, and only if it is announced that this matrix is final.

426 final results are posted, Congrats to Randy Bridge. A tough day with a lot of place motion in the last few rounds of the finals. Very tough, competitive heats, and unfortunately some carnage.

Q40 finished Friday. After some concern about rain (and electronics out in it), we got started and completed all 8 rounds of qualifying as well as 5 rounds of finals, plus flyoffs.

The field of entries was TOUGH this year. There were no easy heats! Even the prelims felt like finals. Many top names did not make finals. The top 23 places, plus fastest remaining time made it in. Jason Duda had to leave early and vacated his spot, which opened a spot for Joe L in 24th place. Jim Allen got the fast time wildcard into the finals.

After 5 hard-fought rounds, Randy Bridge came out on top. Three flyoffs were noted, and all flyoffs were flown. When Bob Brogdon was asked if he would like to fly off against Mike Helsel, he said "Oh, Yeh". Both of them have been racing over 50 years! Bob held his own against Mike, until a cut set him down a lap.

Leo Nordell flew smart in his flyoff, and all of the other participants cut. Two eventually cut out, and AJ lapped Leo, but Leo moved up two places flying smart. He also bested his callers time (Lloyd Burnham)! Good job Leo. Leo also got best Junior.

After crunching the numbers carefully, it was apparent that Randy Bridge won his 9th Overall Champ trophy. What a machine!
