If these numbers don't double very soon this race will not happen and likely will not happen ever again. Very sad that a legacy that has been going on for this long is about to end. Please reply to this post NLT Friday 10/8 and confirm if you can make it.

Scotty thoughts,,,

if this profound legacy has no meaning to RCACF, and their only motivation is $$$,, then the only value is held in our hearts and not theirs!!!

And no one can take that from us!!!!

Gary,

I will do my best to be there…but if the race happens you can count on me to register for both events whether or not I am able to make it. Would hate to see this race go away…

Numbers are looking good. Please let me know ASAP if you can make it. I have sent the club a final request and any additional numbers will only help.

A few notes.
If this does happen I will have to raise the entry fee to $45 for first event and $40 for second. This is to cover rental of the judgment system, fuel, and club expenses. Also, there will be a raffle and a 50/50 along with food for sale. Please plan to support these.

SEE FIRST POST FOR PILOT LISTING..

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT. I will have an answer hopefully by the end of the week.

My opinion, fwiw, the entry fees for all of these contests should be higher. It's the only way the club makes money, and the only way we have races is with clubs that support us. $45 won't buy you a tank of gas to drive back and forth to the field. Entry fees should be set up similar to how AMA does for the NATS. First fee is for pilot's registration, then a fee per event.
We've got to make it worth the club's while or there won't be any clubs to host. Speaking from experience in TX where we used to run around 10 races per year.
