Cliff and Nancy Telford Memorial Scholarship fund 2022
Hi all, I am writing this as a plea for help to complete a task started back around 2009.
The Telford fund has been holding raffles for many years and has gotten to a point very close to sustaining itself. Our current balance in the fund is approximately $89,500. In order to become an endowment, we need to raise $10,500 to attain a balance of $100,000. This means it will yield enough money in interest to sustain itself without further contribution and still award scholarships to worthy candidates.
The NMPRA has approximately 200 members so if everyone would donate a minimum of $50
We would be there. This is a tough task, at best, but we need to make this happen and the sooner the better. I would like to see this happen by the end of February. Many of us have willingly donated prizes for the raffle without a thought. This is an important cause and will help many young engineers follow fruitful careers in the aerospace industry.
Both Cliff and Nancy gave us all a Great gift and it is time to pay it forward for them.
There are several ways to contribute, if you want to take a tax deduction send a check to AMA for the amount and make a note that it is for this fund. You can also use PayPal to the AMA foundation marked for the Telford fund or just hand me what you want to contribute in person at the Phoenix Classic next month and I will see that it gets to the right place.
In closing, please remember those that have contributed to this fund in time, effort and prizes.

I'm in. At the 2021 Nats Bruce Richmond and I were inducted into the NMPRA Hall of Fame. I would like to express my gratitude for this honor by supporting the Cliff and Nancy Telford Memorial Scholarship Fund. As Tom Scott pointed out, if we all would just make a small donation equal to less then a tank of gas, this fund will become self sustaining. In conclusion I would like to thank everyone involved in recognizing my journey in this great hobby of racing miniature model airplanes.
