Doug,

We have a giant barn that anyone can pit inside. There is a tarp covering the ground. It is first come.

There is a little less than three weeks before the flag drops at our NMPRA Q-40 Champ Race at OJA. Trey has done a fantastic job organizing this contest to make it the best ever. As always the contest will be first class. The field is in tip top condition thanks to Trey, Dean, Robert and Matt’s relentless hard work. The Langlois family has been more than accommodating and is excited about hosting the Champ Race. The weather here has been beautiful with very fast air which Matt has definitely proved with his new Robert Vess AR-6. So fill out that entry form, send it to Trey and “Let’s go Racin”! Von Der Hey

Ray and Terry,

3 or 4 plane heats will be determined by the final count of pilots.

Staggered or racehorse start will be discussed and determined closer to race weekend.

I am neither for or against this, but I don't think it is good practice to make rule deviations this close to race after people have spent money and taken time off work based on what they thought the format would be.

I don't think someone would not show up because it stayed as advertised, but you could lose entries with late changes. It has happened before.

Anyway looking forward to seeing everyone at one of the best places to race in the world!

Mike, I don't care either way... However, the rules read that 1-3, 2-4 "SHALL" be used unless otherwise specified. Racehorse isn't listed in the flyer. And if you are changing from this format, I would think the 30 day notice rule applies.

Race horse is great, until it isn't. If hindsight was foresight, we wouldn't be pylon racing!

If everyone had to build their own models then race horse starts would not be a topic. Von Der Hey

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but it seams to me you could always hold back that .7 of a second. It would only affect 50% of your heats because every other round you would be on the second flag anyway!
