2023 NMPRA Q40 Championship Race - West Coast - BID REQUEST

Post by twitte »

All,

It is that time again...And I am bit behind!!

The rotating schedule has this cycle being on the West coast. I will be accepting bids for the 2022 NMPRA Q40 Championship until January 1st, 2023. At that point, the NMPRA board will review each bid and vote to select the site. If you have any questions, please get with me.

At this point, only West coast venues should submit bids. If no bids are received, I will make the decision on where to go from there.

I will post the selected site here on the forum.

All,

We received one bid for the Championship race from the West coast area. The Board has voted to accept the Jefco Aeromod’lers RC Club's, in Littleton, CO, bid to host the competition.

I will let Hank Diepenbroek make a Forum post with all the details.

To all,
We are honored to be able to host this great event.
I will post more details later. For now I would like to inform you as to the dates for the race. We are just changing our our Mile Hi Challenge to the 2023 Champ Race. We will revise the current posted Mile Hi Challenge Flyer to reflect details for the Champ Race. The dates are the 9th & 10th of September.
Your feed back would be appreciated.

The field, with a 600' paved runway will be closed for regular sport flying and open for race practice Friday September the 8th. Practice fuel will be available for purchase.

Please note registration will close Friday night. You will not be in the matrix otherwise.

Pilots will be shuttled back and forth to the starting line. If you are not on the shuttle once it leaves the final staging area you are out of that heat.
You will not be able to chase the shuttle or walk out to the line.
We will also have a 4-wheeler with a driver that will retrieve planes that have landed either short or long.
We have a lot of flying to get in, so we appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping things moving.
Time schedule will be Strictly Enforced!!!

After the Sunday racing and flyoffs we will be presenting trophies, cash prizes and drawing give away. It would be best not to plan any Sunday afternoon flights.

Please let me know if there are any cancellations or additions. Soon I will attach the link for the flyer and registration form.

Look forward to seeing you in our beautiful Colorado Summer. Can you run and win a mile high?

Would like a tent space. It is hard for those of us coming from the East Coast to bring a tent.
