Phoenix 2023
Phoenix 2023
Whiles there's still room from the encroaching neighbors maybe a final farewell classic. The houses are a 1/2 mile away. Plenty of room. Jim has said he won't do it but, maybe with some encouragement we could help Dr Roy or someone else. Who do we need to talk to?
And I said, here am I send me.

Re: Phoenix 2023
I have attended quite a few races at that field including the first F-1 race that they held. Some of my best memories from Pylon Racing are from there.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike and Judy DelPonte, Guy and Jan Lane, the Shoneman’s, the Pro Flyers, Jim Allen and the Speed World club for all that they have done for us.
This venue was the Daytona 500 of Pylon Racing and it will be greatly missed by all of us. Again, I thank all that have contributed to this great race that has spanned over the last five decades. Von Der Hey.

I agree with Lee. My first ever 3 pole competition was in January of 2020 at Winterfest and 2004 when I started racing Q40. I haven’t missed a year since and I have wonderful memories of great racing and good friendships over the years. Jim and his crew really set the bar for what a race event should be and I took notes. Thanks to the entire Speedworld Club and all those who had a hand in helping make it happen. I’m sure it’s a very long list over 30+ years.
