I’m posting this 2024 race forecast based on input from provided area calendars along with text and emails I’ve been provided. Please review and let me know if there are any omissions or errors. I’ll post updates as I receive them.

There are a few conflicting races in May, I’ve provided points of contact so CD’s can communicate and possibly move races as there are no race flyers posted yet.

Doug Killebrew and I will be working out the details for posting this calendar on the race site ( somewhere) for continued forward planning.

Could you please add a column to this spreadsheet that calls out what classes are being flown for each contest?

That will help all in planning their year.

Unfortunately all the area spreadsheets that I’ve been provided lack the level of detail, I could reach out to the CD’s and request that information, this Forecast spreadsheet is intended to provide early planning information for CD’s and pilots and in no way to replace the Flyer official race posting. My concern is if that much info is provided it might be used by some as their race planner.

Thanks for the input, with the amount of downloads of the spreadsheet it appears there is interest in looking ahead!

Bernie has posted the Excel spreadsheet and PDF of it on the NMPRA home page race calendar area please note the only official races are those posted by Bernie with Race Flyers

Everyone please keep the suggestions coming as this is a work in progress

I'm posting Rev2 of the Forecast calendar, thanks Tom for the Caps 2024 information regarding the Ben and Carolyn Memorial September Race. I've also added the class events that will be flown at the April and Oct Whittier races thanks for that suggestion Trey, I'll add those details as I receive them.

One minor correction. The Midwest Sundowners race is only 1 day, September 7, not 7 and 8.

Can you please a column with the lunch menu and pricing for each race?

The proposed contest calendar has done its job. It is intended to prevent scheduling conflicts nationwide which has been a problem in the past. Thank you Dan for taking the time to publish this information so we can have a full and sensible 2024 race schedule. If a contestant needs information regarding details for specific events that contestant should contact the proposed Contest Director for that event. That being said, it would help if the Contest Directors would publish the event flyers as soon as they have the required information. Again, thank you Dan for taking on the coordination of our race schedule. Von Der Hey.

Kurt and Dave I’m pulling out my Farmers almanac for research into weather forecasting great idea! ( Buddy maybe to many “G’s”?

Dave here’s the menu for the regions;

West Coast- Taco bar Beans and Rice topping it off with Margaritas! Open bar!

Central - Pulled Pork / Ribs all Texas style with tequila shots!

East Coast- Low Country Boil and endless PBR!!

I've just posted Rev 3 of the forecast, correcting an error, the caps Sundowners race is Saturday the 7th I've removed Sunday the 8th,I also added the classes for Whittier and Wichita races!

I’ve posted the revision 4 of the forecast calendar, it was pointed out to me that I called the Moon Shot race as Shoot the Moon!

I've attached Rev 5 of our Forecast Calendar to add the Pylon over the Glades Race at Delray Florida Oct 25-26-27.

Pilots and Organizers if attached the latest revision to the forecast calendar Rev (6), the OJA May race has been cancelled and I've included the tentative OJA Oct 4-5-6 F3D/F3E team trials included in this change is the Victorville Warbird race date changed from April 20 to the 27th

Hopefully this forecast calendar is helpful to someone.
