I would work to make that one. Always regretted not making any of the Bowie races in years past.

Racing returns to Bowie!! Great news, Steve! Great memories of the races in the early '80's...
And Rip's is still in business for great steak, chops, and ribs!!

The idea of putting on the race apparently has merit, so we will go for it. Thanks to everyone who spoke up. I hope Robert Vess, Dean Stone, John McDermott and all of the other people I see every year in Muncie also come. The Q40 event started 30 years ago. Let's end it in style.

Hi Steve and Rick,

I have always wanted to make a Bowie race but wasn't able to make it happen back in the day. Unfortunately, I have a prior commitment. for the proposed date. Please consider making this an annual so I can come next year...

Rocket asked:

This event is Q40 only?

My response: Correct. It will be a 2-day Q40 race.

All:

As it stands, we still need a working light system before we can finalize our plans. The NEPRO light system is suspect since it hasn't been used in a few years. I have reached out to Tom Scott who is currently in California at a race at the Basin.

If anyone else has a working light system, please speak up so we can commit to applying for a sanction and doing the rest of the leg work. Our club will pay a borrower's fee of $125.00
