This is the fifth of many short tips on how to finish a composite Q500. They are based upon installation in a "Phoenix" that is currently being produced by Jim Lime (eight zero six - 553-5478).
Tape the mount onto the front of the fuselage.
Drill holes for the motor mount screws.
Drill a 1/4" diameter hole for the engine kill. Note: Drilling a hole for the engine kill helps to prevent future bottoming out and stripping a servo gear.
Remove the mount and re-drill the mounting holes with a 3/16" drill bit.
Use a hemostat to hold the blind nut as you pull it into the firewall with the screws.
