Building a Rickey Rat for another fella.
This is how I make aileron servo mounts.
I know I should have turned the grain of
the arms sideways from what you see here.
Neat trick that some folks might not know:
Before putting “self-tapping” type screws
into wood, rub a little soap on the threads
of the screws. This is helpful when you are
having to force the screw into a tight fitting
hole.

Using some button head #2 screws, it makes a neat
servo mount.

A couple of things that I like to do:
When installing the red outer pushrod sleeves, save
the oblong shaped balsa punch out part. Trim that
just a little and glue it in the slot to fill up the remainder
of the hole. A little sanding and it makes a smooth filler.
The aileron horn needs a hard point inside the hollow
aileron. I mix up some epoxy, add flock (or micro balloons
or cab-o-dip) and smooth that between the rear of the
2 ribs where it’s needed. Clamp a block of wood or whatever
to squish it flat while it dries. Cover your block of wood with
some plastic film or whatever, so the epoxy won’t stick to
the block.
