Receiver Battery Pack

I mostly have servos that have a operating voltage between 4.8 and 6V. Curious as to what guys are running for receiver packs in Quickies and Q40's? Will 6V hitec servos live on LiFe 6.6v packs without voltage regulator? Or is NiMh packs still the norm for 6v servos? Looking to get an entire day of racing in without charging batteries.
