The results from the first day of racing are in. Congratulations to both Tony and Jacob McDonald for taking first place, third place, and fast time. You guys make a great father and son team.
Check out the overall final standings below.

We had some tough conditions today. Winds were around 20mph most of the day, but that didn’t stop anyone. Everyone did a fine job piloting their racers and making smooth landings. Tomorrows forecast calls for much better weather. Winds should be out of the north at 5-10 mph.

I’ll post another update tomorrow.

Many thanks to Robert Holik, the Woodland/David Aero Modelers and APC props for putting on a fantastic race! They have an outstanding facility complete with a judgeman timing system that worked flawless all day.

I wasn't able to make Saturdays race, but I understand the weather today although a bit windy was much better than yesterday's.

Thanks again

Great job today Red! First place and Fast time ... Wow, the Invictus is a fast racer and you flew it very well today. I could not keep up.

Thank you to all of you who came to race this weekend. I am happy to see all the excitement from the new racers. There were a few here that had never raced on a three pylon course and they did very well.
Also, a special thanks to all the workers, they all did a fabulous job this weekend!

Final results are below.

What a great weekend of EF1 racing. Fantastic job Robert Holik and the Woodland/Davis Model Airplane Club for putting on a fun and competitive race! I counted 4 new 3-pole pylon racers who were all in the mix and had a great experience. Lets start with some Saturday pit and racing action.
