Cobra EF1 Motor

I bought a couple of the Cobra EF1 motors last week and tested one today. The motor weighs a bit more than the Rimfire motor I replaced it with - 10g to be precise. Nose weight can be an issue on some models so this is something to be aware of.

Performance seemed good. The bolt on prop adapter is solid, not tapped like the OS prop collet, so aluminum spinners which use a single bolt from the tip of the nose into a jam nut or prop collet might be a problem. The bolt is, I believe, M6. If anyone knows were I can get an M6 acorn nut with an M3 tap I'd appreciate it

I'm attaching my Castle logs for anyone interested in looking at how it performed. I ran race batteries and ran them at full throttle throughout the session with the exception of the first flight where I did a bit of sport flying at the end. Note that the testing was done at 5000'+ altitude. RPM at or closer to sea level will probably be lower.
