North Texas Q-25 & EF-1 race #1 results

Well, it was a scorcher today for Q-25 and EF-1 race #1 here in North Texas. The temperature topped out at about 98 deg but it was really the humidity that made it tough. Wind was a light left crosswind, and that helped out a bit. It was a well flown race with some good heats. We had the obligatory collision on takeoff which took out two airplanes but no mid-airs today. The flyoff in EF-1 for 1st between Jim Plake and Jason Duda was a great one. With it being for "all the marbles" and with nothing to lose being a bit behind, Jason tightened it up a bit too much and cut out giving Jim the win. Here are the results.
