Painting a EF1

Post by RCjunkie »

What is allowed in EF1 for painting my models. Can I paint it with silk and dope?

Kevin,

you can but you would have to cover with plastic film. Here is the section of rules that pertains to covering.

16.5. Event 420 EF-1 (Electric Formula One)
16.5.1. Airframe
Models must be primarily constructed of wood and covered with plastic
film covering.

Kevin, would love to see you race with us again. What is it going to take to make that happen?

#1 what would make the difference from paint to plastic film? As long as the model make weight? Right!!!!! It is alot harder to paint over the plastic film then wood. But last thing as long as all follow the rules, there has been some all paint not plastic film

Kevin, I am not sure where this is coming from. I haven't seen you at a race for over 3 years. Who has an all glassed airplane???

And yes since it is a rule you must have plastic.

Guys, if you think someone is cheating. Protest them right there and then. The powers to be will vote and everyone will know.

Please don't get worked up over stuff that is either not true or unproven just to get pissed off. Make an effort to come and participate.
