Found a new in package ( with desiccant pack) in my Q40 prop stash-

I think it’s an early “ approved for Q40 “ prop

No specs molded on it - has “Q40 1” molded on the blade .

Can someone tell me the dia/pitch of it?

TIA!
Jake

You may get a couple of answers on this, but it should read "Q-40 1.1" There also was a Q-40 1.2. They were a beefed-up hub 7.4"X 6.5" but might pitch a little bit differently. You need to put it on a pitch gauge. Fred Bergdorf made them at a time when some Nelsons were throwing blades( because of bad cranks). They were made to solve a prop problem, which was really a crankshaft problem. Lay it next to another 7.4"X 7.?" and you can see the difference in the hub. your prop is much more robust. I was told to use them for mixing paint, but they could be used for test flying.

Great info!
Thank you for that ,Greg.

It’s been about 20 years since I played with the Q40s
