for what it's worth, you can remove the needle valve and the friction nut from the standard needle valve, and use a short 3-56 screw with some blue locktite on it to seal up the NV threads, and you have a spraybar compatible with a remote needle.
Out of all the places we could be, this is one of them.

#3-56 aren't the most common screws out there, but they do exist.

Hope that helps broaden your search a bit, as the older engines like the short strokes tended to have the front mounted needle valves. At least my SS Nelsons do.

Hope that helps broaden your search a bit. While #3-56 aren't nearly as common as the #2-56 are, they do exist.

My SS Nelsons are set up with front mount needle valves, so if I ever drop them on a plane for anything I'll probably be doing the 3-56 screws and remote needles as well.

Cheers,
Gordon

There is a SS Nelson Q-40 engine on rc groups now, about page 5 of the engine for sale section.

Kevin,
Do you still need a SS Q40 engine? What size spinner is required for the plane you have?
