Postby DT » Tue Sep 12, 2017 4:53 pm

Racers,
Oct 28th & 29th are approaching quickly for the 2017 West coast Pylon Championship finals! These races are shaping up well!
The club and organizing committee have made many improvements to the field (New runway) and other things which will reduce the setup time and provide for an early start!
We are projecting an 8:30 start time for the first heats! Please be ready!

We will be racing all three classes, 424, 424 and 422 each day if (entries permitting)

Please Note
RULES DEVIATION: If in the event you receive a turn light and a cut on the same lap at pylon 1, the cut will stand and a refly will not be issued!

To support the 8:30 start, please make sure Chuck Andraka & Mario Salazar have all of your information! IE: AMA #, Class’s and teammates! Matrixes will be built Friday, no information means you will not be in the matrix for Saturday or Sunday! (Please do not complicate things by trying to handling these issues on Saturday or making last minute changes! Thanks

The field will be closed to sport flying Friday, the other days you'll need to share with the public, the club will be starting registration during Friday Practice and early Saturday and Sunday, Please no test flying until you have registered!

Please RSVP so we can plan for Lunch that will be an outstanding event each day!

Racers,
The response for this event have been outstanding! This event is shaping up to be our biggest and best event yet and it's 100% due to your support!

Currently we have 33 entries in Q40, 19 entries in 426 and 6 in 424! These entries currently are not supported with documentation!

Please send your information to Chuck or Mario! You can do this in 3 ways, email, texting or sending in the entry form!

We'd like to start listing racers by teams which will provide the ability to have the matrix built on Friday evening!

Please provide your AMA#, Classes, and teammates, we cannot start the list until we are provided this information!

Thanks

Fellow racers,

It is very important that you send in your entry information ASAP.
Please find Chuck Andraka and Mario Salazar contact information above.
Send us your complete information soon, so we can assemble the teams with plenty of time, to avoid last minute conflicts.
99% of us pilots have gone through this process at different events many, many times and we know how important this is for the success of the races to provide accurate information in a timely manner.
Most likely, we WILL NOT be able to make matrix changes on Saturday or Sunday mornings. So due to this, please don't be disappointed if we cannot accommodate your requests on race day.

One more thing to note is:

RULE DEVIATION:
IN THE EVENT YOU GET A TURN LIGHT AND A CUT LIGHT ON PYLON 1 ON THE SAME LAP, THE CUT STANDS OVER THE TURN LIGHT AND A RE-FLY WILL NOT BE GRANTED
!

Thanks a lot everyone in advance for your support to this race.
Mario Salazar

Below are the firm entries we have already. Please note, there are roughly a dozen more in 426 and 422 that pilots have identified as callers, but we have not received AMA number and confirmation that they are attending. If you posted, emailed, texted, or otherwise told me you are coming, but did not provide AMA number, you are not yet on this list. If you are missing, but have said you are coming, please forward your AMA number to Chuck or Mario.

Thanks
Chuck

Fellow Racers,

Our West Coast Series Championship Race is just a few weeks away, and we need to make sure we have all you information right away, so we can generate the matrix for both Saturday and Sunday.

426 and 422 classes, are showing an incredible support from our racing community, including 7 International entries!

As far as the 424 (APRA) Class is concerned, we are disappointed that as of today, only 4 entries have been received.

We are contemplating to offer 424 only on Saturday, Oct 28th, if we don't get more than 10 entries in this class by the end of the day on October 20th...
This class is struggling here in California, and frankly, we're running out of ideas to successfully promote it!

Will see everyone in a few weeks, mean while, good luck to ALL of those going to North Carolina!

Racers:

We are still waiting for some "regulars" to make contact. In addition, some that have given information have named people as callers who have not yet signed up. If you are planning to attend, and do not see your name on the lists, please contact us via email or PM.

This is looking to be a first class event, with lots of fast racing! Don't miss it!

Lastest entry list posted.

If you have not provided AMA number to one of the event team, you are not on the list yet! A few more have verbally committed but need to get their information turned in. If you have not talked to your teammates, please do. We end of with long strings of cross-connected caller/pilot teams because people are assuming their buddies are available.

Thanks
Chuck
