Clarence Lee NMPRA Hall of Fame Induction

Postby vonderhey » Sat Jan 27, 2018 8:38 pm

Today was a great day for Pylon Racing. Laird Owens and myself visited Mr. Clarence Lee and Mrs. Peggy Lee at their home in Sunland, Ca. We presented Clarence Lee with his 2017 NMPRA Hall of Fame Award which officially inducts Clarence into the NMPRA Hall of Fame. We had Bob Smith Face Time with Clarence for a bit which was entertaining because neither one ever Face Timed before. Once they figured it out they really enjoyed talking to each other using this new found technology. Laird has known Clarence and Peggy since he was in Junior High School. There were lots of good stories about Pylon Racing from it's inception to the present. We thanked Clarence and Peggy for everything that they have done to support the NMPRA and congratulated Clarence on his induction into the NMPRA Hall of Fame. Von Der Hey.

Hi Lee,

Can I use that picture of you presenting the award for Clarence's Hall of Fame page. Nice pic of the shop.

Thanks,

Thanks for sharing the pics, Lee- and the story!
Out of all the places we could be, this is one of them.

Lee and Laird,

Thank you for taking the time to present Clarence with his award. This award is long overdue, and very well deserved. Clarence has impacted so many of our lives and many are completely unaware. He is a huge part of our history and seeing those that deserve to be honored rewarded for their efforts is the entire reason the Hall of Fame exists. Unfortunately, we have many other individuals that need to be recognized as well. Thank you to everyone that played a roll in making this happen!
