Mile-High Challenge Pylon Races for 422 & 426, August 13th and 14th.
2 separate events, We will shoot for 8 rounds 426 Saturday and 8 rounds Sunday with 4 plane heats. If we have time we might try to squeeze in a few heats of 428 just for a demo race
The prize money will be, $500 for 1st place Q40, $500 for 1st place 426 and a $500 drawing. This way everyone has a shot at prize money. (Even Kurt). Pilots must pay and be registered for both days per class and will receive one ticket for each class, only (1) $500 drawing purse.
There is a park admission fee $10/day per vehicle. Free for Vets during the month of August
Normal club rules before Friday. No flying before 7:00 am any day.
Field will be open Friday August 12th for practice. If you arrive before Friday it could be possible that you will not be able to fly.
Please note registration will close Friday night. You will not be in the matrix otherwise.
Tech inspection ends Friday night. Pilots will be required to demonstrate fail safe mode.
Practice on race days from 7:00 am to 8:00 am.
Pilots meeting 8:15 am
Racing starts 8:30 a.m. Sat & Sun. 1 contest each day: 426 Sat, 422 Sun. $75 per event.
Cut light will Trump turn light.
Pilots will be shuttled back and forth to the starting line.
If you are not on the shuttle once it leaves the final staging area, you are out of that heat.
You will not be able to chase the shuttle or walk out to the line.
We will also have a 4 wheeler with a driver that will retrieve planes that have landed either short or long.
We have a lot of flying to get in, so we appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping things moving.
Time schedule will be Strictly Enforced.

If anyone is interested we have permission to have (2) RV's/ campers stay in the RC Field parking lot.
There are no hookups though. There are water supplies and dump sites over by the campground.
