Re: A Mid-Atlantic race in lieu of OJA's race-Registration is open

Christine is asking folks to register early so there won't be a ton of data entry to do the night before the race. (She's still a working girl and says "thanks.") Also, there will be processing to do on Friday. We will make sure that each entry has a shutoff that works when the Tx is turned off. We ...

Rooms at the Hampton Inn for the Bowie race are available

The Hampton Inn has rooms for the event. Tell the receptionist it is reserved under PGRC, our club's name. They will cost $149/per night.
The Courtyard Marriott failed to reserve my rooms. Sorry guys.

All:

The Hampton Inn in Bowie listed on the flyer is offering a nightly rate of $147 for rooms with two Queen-sized beds. Mention our club 'PGRC' to get the reduced rate.

Thank you Lee! I will have awards through 5th place, so one more person needs to register so I don't have a spare award to deal with! LOL

Will everyone please take a look at the registration link and, if interested in attending, please register to attend the Q-40 race in Upper Marlboro, MD. So far, I have only 3 entries.

Thank you.

No Q-40 Race in Bowie until later in the year

Our club intends to host races, however, May 4 and 5 are simply too soon to make it happen by then. On the positive side, our Board of Directors have approved of purchasing a light system, as opposed to merely renting one for the weekend, meaning we will be putting on more races down the road. I apo...

Postponing the May 4-5 Race in Bowie

After discussing with the club's board of directors the idea of hosting a replacement race in Bowie for the cancelled OJA race, our club simply isn't ready to host a race of this magnitude, at least not yet. We will be going ahead and purchasing a light system, and training people how to use the equ...

Re: A Mid-Atlantic race in lieu of OJA's race

All: As it stands, we still need a working light system before we can finalize our plans. The NEPRO light system is suspect since it hasn't been used in a few years. I have reached out to Tom Scott who is currently in California at a race at the Basin. If anyone else has a working light system, plea...

Re: A Mid-Atlantic race in lieu of OJA's race

The idea of putting on the race apparently has merit, so we will go for it. Thanks to everyone who spoke up. I hope Robert Vess, Dean Stone, John McDermott and all of the other people I see every year in Muncie also come. The Q40 event started 30 years ago. Let's end it in style.
