I received a phone call from Mr. Vortex (Chuck Bridge) and he is going to donate a Vortex painted in Mike's colors to be given away at our race. To say this caught me by surprise is an understatement.
So now in addition to the BC Ashley airframe that will be raffled off we will have a second drawing for a Vortex.
I can't thank Chuck and the other unnamed pilot for these generous gifts.
Tom in the world of political correctness that we live in the answer is yes. If 3rd annual gives you that warm fuzzy feeling then please use 3rd annual. However, if 4th annual gets your motor running then by all means use 4th annual.
The real question is should I be adding your name to the pilot's list?
Here is the current pilot's list. I've got 5 to 6 more guys that I'm waiting to hear from, but the response to the race has been great this year and I look forward to giving you all the race you're expecting. Pictures of the beautiful give away planes will be up this weekend along with the "this is how it's gonna work" post.

As promised here are pictures of the give away planes. I can't thank the two builders of these beautiful planes enough for their generosity. I kind of feel sorry for the person who gets drawn first, it's not going to be easy to choose between these two planes.
Each paid entry gets you one ticket for the raffle. And yes you have to be present to win.
After taking a picture of the two planes together I got to thinking about how the Vortex is basically ready to go, you just need to install your radio and engine. So I decided to get the BC Ashley to the same point. I installed the servo tray, motor mount, wheels and pushrods. Both planes are set up for JR servos and should be simple enough to get them finished up and ready to fly in no time.
