Final comments.

There are a few players that I did not get photos of, like the starters Tony Lopez and Harold Sattler as well as a majority of the volunteers. I am sorry if I missed some of you. There was one particular individual that was the driving force in making this contest possible. This individual was Gerald Meux. My excuse for not getting a photo of Gerald is a simple one, he never stopped running!
I would again like to thank the Speed World Club, the volunteers, organizers, promoters and all that attended for making this contest happen again. Von Der Hey.

An additional note:
Otto was present with several F3-E race planes that the USA team wanted to fly to get an idea how fast they would be on our race course. Bill Blake was amendable to letting the team fly three separate flights with workers in place while they were figuring out fly offs. So we decided to hold the first ever Electric Calcutta. Three separate flights with the fastest time being the winner. Travis Flynn flew first and turned a .56 but wait, there was a cut which gave him a 1:01 time with the penalty. Next up was Matt Fehling who turned a mid .58 in his flight. The last pilot to fly was Jack Kane who turned a mid.57 and won the very first E- Calcutta. Also not to rain on the Q-40 parade but all three of these airplanes were faster than Matias’s 58:77 Fast Time. Wow!! There were many donations made and in the end $1,434.00 was generated for the winner. However all of the funds were given to the USA F3-E Pylon Team. I would like to thank all that donated and there were many of you . Congratulations to Jack Kane and Team USA.
