Sometimes you’re the windshield.
Sometimes you’re the bug...

Re: Your latest creation
These are my latest Harold Stregas. They are the 1 3/4" and 2" spinner versions.
I haven't flown them yet but I understand that both versions fly great.

Here's one I finished up for a fellow racer. I promise he asked for it to be that color.

Swap meet find for 424. Viper 500 with Thunder Tiger Pro-40 engine, hitec servos and Lord knows what else... Figured I might as well fly all four classes at the Davis race...

Re: Your latest creation
So fun to see this! It is hard to come up with something that doesn't look like everything else. You nailed it! But the Navy...I thought they only flew boats?

Here's your garden-variety CMAD Too Sweet I picked up from Tom Scott's sale last fall or winter or whenever it was. I asked him just to send me an all red one. I painted the elevators, wing tips and canopy with single-stage PPG Shopline and cut the graphics on my laser-cutter. Simple, but I've decided not to put too much time into my pylon racing trim schemes.
The firewall came installed, but was short on glue, so I added a nice fillet of Loctite 9462 around the perimeter. I've also gone to a new fuel cut location that is lower (per the image on Dub Jett's web site). The servo tray is also my own. C.G.s between 4" and 3-15/16" (closer to 3-15/16") with the battery mounted to the back of the firewall and no additional ballast. Came out to 4 lbs., 2.6 oz. Right about where all my other Q40s are.
I'll maiden and maybe race it at the CAPS race coming up in Muncie next weekend.
