Finally the raffle winners.
Re: 3rd Annual Tallman Legacy Q40 Race
Thanks to Lonnie, WRCC, and the Heartland Speed Freaks for another great race. True, lots of carnage and the usual windy Wichita conditions. Congrats to Duane for a good clean weekend. And a special call out to Brian Osman for his first Q40 race. And as always to the workers for spending their weekend so we can race.
Mighty surprised when Vernelle pulled my name out of the box...proverbial hat. No question on the Ashley. Great workmanship and can't wait to get it going and flying.
If you have not been to this race, you should plan on making the trip next year. great field, wide open views of the action, lot of acreage free of trees and great competition.

Thank you Lonnie and crew for all the efforts to put on another great race. You guys put on a laid back race that's a lot of fun. The weather forecast called for likely rain outs most of the weekend, but obviously Bear wasn't having any of that. We got 8 full rounds in, done by 4:00pm Saturday, and driving away from the field before 1:00pm Sunday. Thanks to Chuck B. and Dan T. for donating such nice raffle prizes for the event. I look forward to winning numerous heats with the new Vortex.
Everyone mark your calendars for the next Tallman race. You won't be disappointed.

An awesome weekend, as always! Lonnie and crew do a great job. Not mentioned, there was not a single refly, and I do not recall even any "extended discussions" on the line. I was unfortunate to have one of the mentioned "folded wings". Such is racing. Despite the Kansas winds, the racing event was run smoothly and professionally, as well as quickly. Always a pleasure to race at Lake Afton, and to remember Mike's kindness as a racing figure.
