Here is the tubing routing for my model. Comes from tank, through engine kill, then through needle valve to engine.

Trim the cowl on the cut lines and then fit as required. It fits very well and requires only minimal fitting around the fuel tubing.
Tape the cowl in place with racing tape.

I run my lines the other direction through the needle (feed line to the 90 degree fitting, the inline fitting to the spraybar). It allows a shorter, direct line from the tank to the needle. The other line is about the same length or maybe slightly shorter as well.
