Hi Randy;
Thats what I suspected, but wasn't sure. I alredy have a couple of them which I ordered a while back, not thinking they might not be leagal. I can send an email to HK asking if they intend to do whats necessary to get the "new" version approved and see what happens. AT the worst, I can use these for practice and save my "good ?" motors for racing I'll need all my best stuff in top condition when hopefully, we can ressurect the UPRC here in Western NY and those "guys" from north of the border start coming down to try and beat on us! Hi Ken Hi Ed
Jim W
Hi Jim It would be great to get UPRC going with the EF 1's. Ed and myself have been building and flying the F 1's for over a year now and having a blast. Also Rick and Corey are building planes as well but don't know if anyone else is down at Brantford.
Up here I am promoting EF 1 racing and hope to have some fun type racing at our club next year. There is some guys who have planes but have never raced before, so they would need help.
Keep in touch and PM me with your email address.
The list of Recommended and Approved components found at the link in Post #1 has been updated to include a $150 price cap on the ESC. This is in line with the 2012 approved rule set. The 2012 rules will be updated under Event Rules separately. This discussion forum functionality does not allow posting of .pdf files, so I can't post it here.
Trey,
There is no official published list of approved designs. there are many.
I think Jerry Small and/or Dan Kane have their own list. I believe Jerry is one of the Design Approvers.
You would have to contact either these guys and see what they might have for documentation.
The list of Approved and Recommended Components on page 1 has been updated to reflect the Outrageous and Scarlet Screamer now available from Airborne Models. Also added the Thunder Power G8 70C battery.
