Re: Your latest creation
The Phoenix Classic is over and there were a lot of beautiful planes there, all but 18 by our count survived the contest. better than last year were we lost 21 in on the 1st day. Here are some pictures of my favourites, but in reality there were so many nice ones I am glad we don't have to choose the best as in Formula one days.

A new Miss DARA for PHX. (Thanks Tim Lampe for the pict, I stole it from your pict of the vendetta from Lonnie).
Re: Your latest creation
I love those Daras - those are really sharp!
I should have taken the opportunity to get a closer look at the several that were at Phoenix, but there will be plenty of opportunities at other races this summer.

OK...I know it's not a pylon racer, but it is my own design, the DYDSuperYAK. 9mm EPP, 3s, 1450 KV. Hovers at half stick. Great for keeping the thumbs current!
I got tired of the silly foam wheel pants that come with some of the kits. Wanting to test some new tooling resin, I carved a set of micro wheel pant plugs and made molds!
So, it has actual glass wheel pants (two layers of 1 oz. cloth)
I have about 20 flights on it now. I have a list of revisions for the next one, but its pretty dang good the way it is. (waiting on more foam
). Rommel thinks its a chew toy.......
Edit! I forgot about the practice pylons I made for the day trips to Whittier! 3 gallon buckets with a little ready mix and PVC pipe! They work great!

Thanks Kurt!
Yes, he is a gem. He is two years old this month. The neighbors dogs produced a litter of 13 pups. My wife said "lets just go look at them"
.
He has a great disposition....other than fact he likes to chase foam airplanes!

Re: Your latest creation
if you are Tom then this is your model? A Too Sweet from CMAD racing? I have it turn key ready but fail at painting and at this moment is sitting white again, never mind how I got there and back.
I have another set of decals and will simply make use of some trusty Rustoleum and wait the required week+ to use. I know this models potential and will be ready to release it. Well, who ever pushes it is actually releasing it with a push. But yeah, fun hobby.

Here's my latest one. An old school painted Q500 based upon a Sam-Rai wing and tail.
The fuselage is based upon a Seeker.
