Tavares Florida March Race

FOR YOUR PLANNING PURPOSES,,,,

The Tavares "LARKS" will be hosting the Florida March Pylon Race, a typical multi-class event. The dates are 3/12 thru 3/15.

Field Improvements include a much improved Launch Pad. The Textile material is Nice and Taught! At last inspection It was looking really good!!! I will be flying off it after the holidays and will give you updates.

Don't tell anyone,,, BUT,,,, our club secretary indicated that,,, if attendance remains high, the club would consider black top or concrete for the launch pad!!

At "The Tangerine" Terry was Whining,,,, (nothing new there!) about not being able to find number one Pylon, no land marks or points of reference,,, I reminded him the field IS Located on the top of a Landfill!! I have asked Gino, Matt and Randy (Team Trials 1st, 1st and Fast Time respectively) to get with Terry and give him some so guidance!! I will have extra #3 Pylon extensions on hand!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a NEW county person managing the Landfill, given her conduct thus far,,, plan on Dry Camping on Scotty's property,,,, 14 minutes away!

Hello everyone. Been out for like 5-6 years. I'm excited to be able to Come Race in Tavares. Already got the time off. Looking forward to this very much. Saw some of you at Tangerne and can't wait to see you guys and Gals again. This sport has the Nicest people hands down. I'm already getting help from Dennis and Randy has already offered so I'm really excited.

The Third Annual Tavares Invitational,,,

Plan on registering on this forum Prior to Arrival. On-Site registrations will not be accepted in support of Friday afternoon Matrix building and paper printing/handouts and all that time consuming stuff.

Plan on 426 Saty, and 422 on Sunday. 424 & EF-1 will be supported Or NOT,,,, based on Sign-Ups

Sunday Matrix and handouts will be distributed Saty afternoon after Trophy's!

Time Line ~~ Wed/Thursday Pilot arrivals/test fly with club members (Members typically only morning flyers),,, Field set-up Thursday afternoon - No Flying till done!

Friday we have the field,, Polls up practice, Registration (plan on SEMPRA membership dues collection), Matrix building and Heat Sheet Hand-outs!

Saty morning we will have our 8 am Workers/Pilots meetings, and head to the starting line,,, Sunday same

Daylight Savings starts March 8 so we may get 6 rounds in!!!
