FAI Rules

If you fly for another country in a WC you can’t fly for your country in the next cycle. There’s rules in place to keep people from country hopping. Been hearing lots of US pilots are flying for other countries and I’ll bet they didn’t read the rules.

I think that it would be very un-American to compete against your own country.

Going to play a little devil's advocate here. Without those entries, there likely wouldn't be a WC this year. This is something the control line guys have been doing for many years.
