A Mid-Atlantic race in lieu of OJA's race-Registration is open

Post by Sbaker »

All:

To register for the race in Upper Marlboro, MD at the PGRC flying site scheduled for May 3-4-25, go to this site: www.capsracing.com
The CAPS organization is hosting the registration for our club, so don't be confused by this. Don't go to Muncie, drive to Maryland instead!

I hope to see you there!

Will everyone please take a look at the registration link and, if interested in attending, please register to attend the Q-40 race in Upper Marlboro, MD. So far, I have only 3 entries.

Thank you.

You now have four entries which guarantees me at least a fourth place finish at the moment. Von Der Hey :)

Thank you Lee! I will have awards through 5th place, so one more person needs to register so I don't have a spare award to deal with! LOL

ATTENTION ALL PILOTS:

Please register as soon as possible for this contest. This contest is a two day Q-40 race. One contest over two days. This contest fills the void from the loss of the Old Julian Airport field left us when it was closed. So please register so Mr. Baker and the club can plan an efficient event. Thank you, Von Der Hey.

I just registered but listed no team. I am hoping I can team up with Deneve/Frazer, even though I am quite a bit younger than them.

Kurt I think you have a little more grey than maybe you realize.

I've never raced ad PGRC. Looking forward to it. Time to get back into workshop.

Princess Georges RC Field is beautiful. The race course will be set up pivoted clockwise to make sure that there is more than plenty of room around pylon one from the trees. The low elevation combined with the ocean air should make for fast racing conditions. Von Der Hey.

All:

The Hampton Inn in Bowie listed on the flyer is offering a nightly rate of $147 for rooms with two Queen-sized beds. Mention our club 'PGRC' to get the reduced rate.

Christine is asking folks to register early so there won't be a ton of data entry to do the night before the race. (She's still a working girl and says "thanks.") Also, there will be processing to do on Friday. We will make sure that each entry has a shutoff that works when the Tx is turned off. We will also check for missing keepers on clevises and sloppy linkages.

Lastly, I have an aerial view of the site to show areas for pitting, parking, and RV's.

It's getting close.

Steve,

I can't remember if your flying site is gated and locked at night. I am wondering if I can leave my little trailer out there at night? Or maybe someone is camping overnight at the site, to keep an eye on things?

Thanks
